1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the online English school platform operated by Verbsmiths Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, students, and teachers.
2. Subscriptions and Billing
Our services are offered on a subscription basis. When you purchase a subscription, you agree to pay the fees applicable at the time of purchase. All fees are displayed in British pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. We reserve the right to change our subscription fees with 30 days’ notice. Any changes will not affect your current billing period.
3. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your lessons until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of a subscription. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact our support team within 14 days of the charge. Refunds are issued at our discretion and only in exceptional circumstances.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use our platform only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not share your account credentials with anyone else, use the platform for commercial teaching outside our service, upload harmful content, or engage in behaviour that disrupts the learning environment for other students. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached this clause.
5. Intellectual Property
All lesson materials, videos, worksheets, and other content provided through our platform are the intellectual property of Verbsmiths Ltd or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use these materials for your personal study only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verbsmiths Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through a notice on our platform.
